This year at the World Science Festival, Game Innovation Lab student's presented "Equation Buster," a game that uses movement based mechanics to teach students about algebra. children at the festival were able to play Equation Buster by using their arms and legs, which the game then tracks to make a character move on screen. This game was created in conjunction with the Games for Learning Institute which has been focusing on developing digital games for targeted areas of K-12 mathematics. The game mechanics are structured to allow easy assessment the current level of student understanding at a level deeper than right and wrong.
