This set of sculpted objects opens a rich new channel of communication between designers and users of technology. The SEI was created to support non-verbal self-report of emotion as an experience unfolds. Since their creation in 2006, they have been used in many research contexts and venues. In 2014, a workshop at CHI was held that built upon the principles of the SEI. The SEI objects are available as 3d files for download and printing.
